"Ocean Hybrid Frolics"

Films: Sharktopus (2010), Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda (2015), Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf (2015)

Alias: Sharktopus (S-11), Pteracuda, Whalewolf (Felix Rosa)

Type: Man-Made

Location: Ocean/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of trucks.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Sometimes, the best way to make a monster is to just combine whatever animals are on your mind at the moment. Anyone can surprise themselves with what ends up being created, especially if those animals are already fairly intimidating on their own. But because it's Syfy, it's not quite going to be one for the monster accolades. Still, you cannot say that they didn't try with the concept. Three times, in fact.

History: Designed as the ultimate lifeguard, S-11, or Sharktopus as it is often colloquially called, was a government experiment set loose on the beaches for a test run. Unfortunately, its collar got damaged, and it went back to its predatory instincts, involuntarily becoming the most dangerous sea creature of them all. While it was blown up, it bore one offspring, and that one was pitted against the likes of Pteracuda, another government-created monster stolen by a mad hacker, and Whalewolf, a poorly tamed beast created from a former baseball player named Felix Rosa.

Notable Kills: Sharktopus drags a person off the beach, snatches a girl from a bungee cord, and impales Conan O'Brian through the mouth before biting his head off. Pteracuda snatches a human head off its shoulders, and Whalewolf snacks on some pigeons.

Final Fate: Pteracuda is killed when, during its fight with Sharktopus, a bomb is planted on it and explodes, with the shark hybrid surviving the blast. However, it is killed when Whalewolf throws it into an electrical sign in the middle of a baseball field. Not long after this, the half-man monster is taken out by an explosive air raid. But when all is said and done, a voodoo priestess resurrects Sharktopus...

Powers/Abilities: Sharktopus, and all other mutants, are immune to most damage, and can survive out of water for an unlimited time. The shark hyrbid's tentacles are also sharpened at the tip like spears.

Weakness: Heavy artillery.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-The effects are as shoddy as you'd expect from a Syfy production, though at the very least they get better slightly as the films go on. And of course, all of the monsters get smarter and weirder with time as well. Sharktopus is obviously the scariest of them all, being the very worst of both sea creatures rolled into one near-unstoppable package. Meanwhile, Pteracuda dominates the skies while Whalewolf combines human intellect with the ferocity of both an orca and a wolf.

Trivia: -In truth, Sharktopus would have no way of existing with its design. It has no means of propelling itself through the water, most sharks would expire if on land for too long, it has a beak where its stomach should be, and on top of all of that, the lack of any visible place for waste disposal means that it would be destined to blow up sooner or later, no explosives necessary.

-Sharktopus actually bears a striking resemblance to Lusca, a sea monster of Caribbean folklore. While often described as a shark/octopus hybrid, other versions include it just being a giant cephalopod, or a mermaid with an octopus' body and hair that acts like tentacles.

All mini-meme!

They never seem to aim for the eyes.

All fighting for the same lady. Such a story that was never to be.

Bam. Fight over.

One souvenir of everything!

The shadow of a scientifically engineered predator.

That depends. Did somebody put Hybodus DNA in the Sharktopus?

Fatality!

When you get your criminal friend to remove your braces.

I miss it when the mall just had to deal with rabble-rousers rather than this.
5 percent saltiness.

There's tentacles and exposed orifices. Do the math.

Room service!

They grow up so fast!

They tried for the final bout, at least.
Blood in the mutation, blood in the water.

Seems he sorta learned from the Beach Worm.

In any other life, this would end tragically.

Ah, these were the glory days.

There's a joke against TV comedians here, but...

"Wait! They cancel my fourth film?!"

Kinda sad the furries didn't catch onto him.
